Winter 2013

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone! Well itʼs been a year of change this year, opening our new herd locations, moving, and starting some new projects, so hafta say weʼre a little bit behind on sharing with our friends and neighbours to be sure!

We did however want to pass on our blessings and prayers for a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year, as well as introduce the foals on the way for next year, share some snow pictures from some of our herds, and also for those who havenʼt been on the website lately, give a glimpse a few pictures of our time at Spruce Meadows this fall. So hunker down with a cup of cocoa, sit in front of a warm fire, and enjoy. Oh, and we should let you know there is only one foal left from this yearʼs spring foaling, Pegasus, and people are already putting their names in for next yearsʼ foals - so better get shopping if you want one - no money down necessary, just a first chance at purchasing them when they arrive.

As usual, we’d love to have your questions or comments, so if there’s anything you’d like to talk about with us please feel free to email us at info@northforkhorses.com or call us at 604-372-3253.

We hope you enjoy our updates and find something we’ve shared to be of help or interest. Make sure you stop by our website for more on the highlighted stories or to check out our horses for sale.

First in Line for 2014

We realize that many breeders sell foals “in utero”, and while there are many reasons for doing this, we have decided we don’t want to sell something we haven’t seen ourselves, especially not knowing sex, conformation or personality. But – that being said, you may have your eye on a favourite mare and stallion pairing, and we do want to offer you the option to be “1st in Line” for the opportunity of purchasing the foal of your choice. Have a look at who we’re “expecting” and get your name in now – we are true to our word and will give you first offering of a successful pairing should we decide to sell the foal. (Foals for sale will be listed under our "For Sale" page under colts or fillies after foaling occurs.)
